Very scatchy ... threw it out.

The Flexpert doesn't disappoint. It frees me from having to be near the ink bottle for long periods of time. If I want to draw or sketch outdoors, I just grab my Osprey pen with the Flexpert nib unit. The Flexpert can be easily taken apart for cleaning, or for swapping out a new Zebra G nib. But the important thing is that the feed was designed to be mated with the Zebra G. I don't have to bend anything into place in order for it to work; it works right out of the box.

I suppose I'll continue using my dip pens, but there's really no need any longer. The Flexpert, mated with either the Milano or the Scholar, is just as comfortable and versitile in the hand as any pen holder I've used in the past.

The other important thing to know is that the owner of Osprey Pens takes Customer Service to a new level. I discovered that when we had a Zoom conference to resolve an issue. Her suggestion solved the problem pretty quickly, and I'm back in action.

For years I have tinkered about sanding down ebonite feeds to accept zebra g nibs in fountain pens. Using this method I've managed to make some pretty good pens and use them for illustration work. They are no beauties but they do the job. I have also, previously bought a 'ready made' example, but it fell well short of my own efforts - then I came across this one and thought I'd give it a go - it turned out to be a delight. I filled the unit with Pelikan 4001 black ink and primed it a touch to get the ink flowing but once it started it never disappointed, laying down a wonderfully wet line and keeping up with satisfying flex and bounce of the nib. I don't know who you guys are but you should be proud of this product.

This was the best $18 I’ve spent on fountain pen parts in ages! This has entirely turned my calligraphy game around and made practicing much more fun, and stylish! And switching between the G-Nib unit and the standard nib unit is SO EASY I carry both with me at almost all times. Just amazing! Thanks Osprey for continuing to improve and innovate!!!
