This simple and utilitarian SS ferrule has been saving me and my grassroots calligraphy classes (at public school with no funding) a lot of money. As a passionate calligraphy teacher, Osprey Pens has been beyond kind sending us little good bags every few months with inks and spare tools. Using straight holders that we machined in woodshop, I have been able to create a class set of dip holders to try and teach calligraphy at our own cash strapped private shool. Normaly, I would have to keep re-ordering ferrules as they were always made of spring steel until Osprey came out with this SS rust proof ferrule.
