Osprey Madison Zebra G Fountain Pen with Osprey Converter
The Madison Fountain pen now comes in 4 beautiful colors -Translucent Red, Translucent Blue, Clear demonstrator and Nimbus ( black & white). Choose a color and outfit it with a Zebra G nib.
The pen is fitted with a Manga Zebra G titanium nib and a triple fissure custom ebonite feed, that provides a steady flow of ink to the nib, supported by a wide mouthed custom converter, that helps keep up with the ink demands of the nib, for flex writing styles. The pen comes with this converter, packaged in a premium pen box, along with a tool kit for easy maintenance.
-Do not use India Inks or highly pigmented inks, or it will clog the ebonite feed.
-Use bottled fountain pen inks that are Ph neutral in composition.
-If you encounter rail-roading, flush your pen thoroughly using a pen cleaning solution (ammonia and distilled water with a dash of dish-soap mixed in water)
-Feel free to write to us with questions at info@ospreypens.com, we respond promptly to all your queries.
Congratulations, the pen works wonderfully, excellent balance between quality, price, packaging and accessories. I will definitely recommend them, I am very happy with my purchase. They should partner with stylo.ca to be able to find their products more easily here in Montreal, greetings.
If you know what a G nib is, you know what you’re looking for. The pen is exactly what I wanted. Top marks all around!
I've loved the Zebra G Pen for years, great flexible line work for cartooning artists. But, I had seen numerous Youtube videos on how to install one into a Jinhao fountain pen. But honetly, it doesn't really work very well, the feed isn't very good for the G Pen nib. I stumbled across a couple pens that supposedly use G pen nibs, but didn't look like any of them worked very well and had a lot of problems with railroading and the ink going dry while drawing. Then I found Oseprey pens and a video on the Madison G pen version. It looked like that one didn't work very well either, but the author of the video discovered an ink from Rohrer & Klinger, called Sketch ink. The black ink from them is completely waterproof, exactly what I WANT. Its a deep black, not diluted looking. Really great ink. It works really WELL in my Red Madison G pen fountain pen. This pen isnt just some cheap pen with a G pen nib crammed into it. The feed is MADE for the G pen and it works perfectly, especially with the Lotte black ink. I LOVE that the feed SCREWS IN instead of pressure fit, even the converter screws in as well. These are signs of a well thought out fountain pen design, and with the G pen, it turns this into a serious artist pen, you probably won't find the equal of. Every time I pick up the pen its ready to go, no shaking it to get ink into the nib. GET ONE. If you are an artist go buy the Rorher & Klinger Lotte black WATERPROOF INK. It really IS WATERPROOF....
Thank you for your valuable feeedback, and for mentioning about the succes with the Ink. Osprey has ordered some of the R&K SketchInk Waterproof Black and will be soon be making it available on our website, for this very reason. This way the customer can add a bottle of ink conveneintly with the purchase of a G Nib and does not have to go through the trouble of getting it later.
Really happy with my purchase, this is exactly the pen I was looking for. It is robust and very drawn
The very best
Perfect ink flow. Exec. Workmanship
